A man has been taken to hospital after he was found with a serious stab wound at a property in Bristol. A police cordon is in place in Jamaica Street, where the injured man was found. It is understood he is the victim of an assault.
Emergency services rushed to the scene early this morning, Friday, September 27, and a crime scene was set up. Avon and Somerset Police were called to the property by the South Western Ambulance Service just after 7.50am. The injured man is understood to have been stabbed and is being treated in hospital.
Investigations are underway at the scene. CID officers are understood to have been inside the building and a forensic investigation is taking place. No arrests have so far been made.
Police are now appealing for information and are asking anyone who may be able to help to get in touch. A spokesperson for the force said: “A man has been taken to hospital following a serious assault in Bristol.
“The ambulance service made us aware of the incident shortly after 7.50am this morning (Friday 27 September). The injured man, who is understood to have sustained a stab wound, was found injured at a property in Jamaica Street. He has been transported to hospital for further treatment.
“Officers have been carrying our tours of the area and are continuing to conduct enquiries to identify those responsible. Anyone with information is asked to call 101 and quote reference number 5224255062.”
