Three males, including two from Toronto, face attempted murder charges after a shooting Thursday morning in the Township of King.

Just before 8 a.m., a York Regional Police officer was conducting traffic control in the area of Bathurst St. and Bloomington Rd. when he heard the sound of gunshots and quickly responded to the scene. A man told the officer he saw two men dressed in dark clothing in his backyard and there was an exchange of gunfire.

One of the men was hit but they all fled the scene before cops arrived. Later, police were told a man had arrived at a local hospital with gunshot wounds that were not considered life-threatening. He has since been released from hospital.

Charged with attempted murder are Thierry Krnic, 57, of the Township of King; Rigan Ricardo Estick, 19, of Toronto; and an unnamed male youth, 17, from Toronto. The charges against Estick and the youth were upgraded from discharging a firearm.

Investigators are looking for any additional video surveillance or dashcam footage from the area and asking for anyone with information about the incident to call police at 1-866-876-5423, ext. 7141, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

MAN, 27, SOUGHT FOR ALLEGEDLY GROPING WOMAN ON BUS IN OSHAWA

A 27-year-old man is wanted for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman on a public transit bus in Oshawa earlier this month.

Durham Regional Police say the woman left Durham College and boarded a Durham Transit bus at the Oshawa campus bus loop around 4:45 p.m. on Sept. 12.

A man then sat beside the woman and “attempted to engage her in conversation,” Const. Nicholas Gluckstein said in a statement released Friday.

As the victim was exiting her seat at her stop, he said the man allegedly groped her.

“The victim was able to safely exit the bus before contacting police,” Gluckstein added.

Investigators have now identified a suspect and obtained a warrant for his arrest, but they believe he has fled the country.

Harsimran Singh, of Oshawa, is wanted for sexual assault.

Anyone with information about this incident or the suspect’s whereabouts is urged to call the Special Victims Unit 1-888-579-1520, ext. 5316, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
