A yellow weather warning for rain in Northern Ireland has been extended.
The Met Office announced that the current weather warning in place has been extended by six hours to 6pm on Thursday and covers counties Antrim, Down and Armagh.
It warned that heavy rain may lead to some flooding and transport disruption in places.
The meteorological service said journey times for bus and train services could be affected, motorists should expect spray and flooding on roads, power supplies may be interrupted and a risk of flooding to homes and businesses.
A spokesperson for the Met Office said: “Outbreaks of rain will be persistent and heavy at times during Thursday.
“Eastern counties will see the largest rainfall amounts, especially across Co Down and Co Antrim, where 30 to 50mm is likely quite widely, and perhaps as much as 60 to 80mm across high ground such as the Mournes.
“Despite recent dry weather, this may lead to some flooding and transport disruption.
“The rain is expected to slowly ease through the late afternoon period.”
The Met Office also warned property owners to check if there is a risk of flooding and to prepare.
“Consider preparing a flood plan and an emergency flood kit,” added the spokesperson.
“Give yourself the best chance of avoiding delays by checking road conditions if driving, or bus and train timetables, amending your travel plans if necessary.
“People cope better with power cuts when they have prepared for them in advance. It’s easy to do; consider gathering torches and batteries, a mobile phone power pack and other essential items.
“Be prepared for weather warnings to change quickly: when a weather warning is issued, the Met Office recommends staying up to date with the weather forecast in your area.”
