The Word on The Street
The annual street festival celebrates literacy, Canadian writing and the stories that connect communities. Featuring hundreds of author readings, visitors can also meander through the vibrant marketplace to find books, magazines and so much more.
Book lovers, head to Queen’s Park on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Fall Home Show
You know it’s fall when the Home Show is in the city, making it your one-stop destination for all things home improvement.
Browse for design and decorating inspiration, get into the Halloween spirit with pumpkin painting and ghost tours around the haunted Exhibition grounds, plus catch some of your favourite TV personalities who are on hand to provide tips to help elevate your space.
Head to the Enercare Centre on Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Peace Ambassadors Gala
Expect an unforgettable night complete with a three-course dinner reception, live entertainment and silent auction is all for a critical cause: Children’s care. All proceeds from this magnificent black-tie event will benefit McMaster Children’s Hospital.
Dress to the nines and head to the Omni King Edward Hotel at 37 King St. E. on Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Latin Parade and Fall Fiesta
It’s a showcase of Latin-American culture, featuring more than 20 countries and their diverse, vibrant music, food, art, crafts, dancing and more.
It’s all at Yonge-Dundas Square on Saturday and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., but the Latin Parade kicks things off on Saturday at 11 a.m.

Toronto Symphony Orchestra Open House and Community Concert
The TSO kicks off a new season with a jam-packed event for seasoned and new symphony-goers alike, featuring everything from chamber music performances, a music playground, Latin American and Chinese dance presentations and dozens of musicians playing in a free concert.

The festival celebrates is milestone 10th anniversary featuring an exhilarating lineup of established and emerging dancemakers., including a rare Toronto appearance by Britain’s Company Wayne McGregor and a mainstage return of the National Ballet of Canada, among so many other astounding features.

Pumpkins After Dark
