Strictly Come Dancing’s Nick Knowles’ future in the BBC competition remains uncertain after he was spotted still sporting a sling just days before Saturday’s show. He was seen looking relaxed on a walk around Piccadilly yesterday.
The ‘DIY SOS’ presenter had his left arm in a sling, after damaging his shoulder while changing a tyre earlier this month. He has a meeting lined up with BBC bosses before Saturday to discuss whether he’s still fit to compete.
But photographer Antony March, 61, said he seemed to be relaxed as he strolled around Burlington Arcade, Piccadilly. Antony, from Kensington, said: “I was attending the ‘007’ exhibition Burlington Arcade were holding. It was about 2pm, he was walking down the actual arcade with his fiancée.
“I just spotted him, wearing this amazing red jacket. It looked like he was relaxing, taking time out from ‘Strictly.’ He was definitely having some chill time – away from the stress of the show.”
A medical professional will need to attend a training session with the star to see if he can comfortably dance, reports say. He said on ‘It Takes Two’ on September 23 that he feels “hopeful” he’ll be able to dance this weekend.
It has been reported Strictly Come Dancing bosses have drawn up contingency plans if he is forced to withdraw from this weekend’s show.
