Avon Athletic Junior Girls Football Club’s under-7s team is kicking off their season in style thanks to developer Crest Nicholson.

Crest Nicholson has donated new kits on behalf of the community at its nearby Highbrook View development in Stoke Gifford.

The club was created last year and will play in the Bristol Girls’ League for the 2024-2025 season.

Neil Robinson, head of sales and marketing at Crest Nicholson South West, said: “We are really proud to support Avon Athletics’ Under Seven Girls team and look forward to cheering them on during their inaugural season. At Crest Nicholson we believe in supporting the communities around our developments.

“Getting involved in grassroots sports teams helps to build stronger, healthier and happier communities while with supporting young people in the development of key skills and relationship building. We wish the team the best of luck for the season ahead.”

Chris Keating, team founder, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to Crest Nicholson for providing such a generous donation of new kits as we gear up for the season ahead. This new team provides a fantastic opportunity for young girls in our community to be active while having fun and we can’t wait to start competing in September.”

Less than a 10-minute drive from Avon Athletics’ training ground is Crest Nicholson’s Highbrook View development. The new development offers a collection of four and five bedroom homes. The team at Crest Nicholson recently launched its brand-new show home and prices start at £475,000 for a four bedroom home.
