APCOA is delighted to continue its sponsorship of the Young IT Professional of the Year category at this year’s Belfast Telegraph IT Awards.

APCOA is an agile and ever-changing business, adapting to the needs of clients and customers. We are very proud of the innovative solutions we create for our clients, many of which are developed by our talented IT professionals.

Our ongoing investment in technology ensures that our IT infrastructure achieves robust standards and levels of certification, essential in delivering 24/7 support for the products and services we provide.

APCOA prides itself on delivering technological firsts. We are constantly improving our systems, such as pre-booking and permit management, and have developed new technologies to deal with the requirements of some of the biggest airports on earth as well as other large parking properties.

Our ability to offer bespoke services to all our clients across many sectors is at the heart of what we do, carefully working with them to analyse their specific customer demographics and developing services which offer ease and reliability for all.

The customer convenience of cashless parking, auto pay, late pay and scan pay are all made possible by market-leading IT capabilities, and much of the utilisation data can be provided via the APCOA Analytics dashboard suite.

In addition, seamlessly integrating EV charging into the customer experience has taken a great deal of innovation and collaboration on the part of our IT teams, and our combined charging and parking payment solutions have been made possible by their expertise.

Being at the technological forefront allows us to constantly deliver new services to our clients, but it also allows us to expand the breadth of our existing services.

One example is the development of urban hubs, which utilise car parks in key areas to benefit the community through the provision of additional mobility services, logistics, EV charging, and new technology.

Stephen Rickett, APCOA’s UK&I director of innovation and technology, said: “Belfast will be the location for one of our new APCOA urban hubs and will bring together market-leading partners from several fields to provide physical and digital infrastructure for sustainable urban life. It’s an exciting time and technology is key to a significant amount of our ESG strategy as a whole.”

Kim Challis, APCOA regional managing director UK&I and group ESG director, added: “APCOA is shaping the future of parking with a commitment to the four pillars of parking, charging, technology and urban solutions.

“We adapt and evolve to meet the needs of our clients, shaping an infrastructure that forms an essential part of sustainable urban mobility.

“Robust and innovative IT solutions are central to the success of our business, and sponsoring this award demonstrates APCOA’s recognition of the contribution that talented IT individuals can make to forward-thinking organisations.

“We would like to wish all award entrants the very best of luck.”
