• No leaks, here: Ram itself revealed official images of the 2025 Heavy Duty ahead of the truck’s debut
  • Stylish! Peep the new grille and headlights it’s bringing to each trim in the 2500 HD lineup
  • Concrete details like powertrain updates or new features weren’t mentioned—we’ll have to wait for those

In an apparent bid to get ahead of any spy photos of uncamouflaged test mules which may surface in the next few days, Ram itself late September officially revealed a batch of high-quality images showing off the changes in store for its Heavy Duty line of pickup trucks.

Stellantis doesn’t have time for the paparazzo, it seems.

A trio of trucks are on display in these photos, showing an array of trim levels. The blue hero truck is a Rebel variant, laden with some off-road toys and knobby tires. A white truck is likely a Tradesman trim, and is probably a chassis cab model, though it is hard to tell given the level of tinting layered on to the windshield area in this photo. There is every chance in the world it is a 3500-grade truck thanks to its burly wheel design. Finally, a sporty-looking model in Retail Red shows up with colour-keyed bumpers and clearance lights.

All trims are getting new headlamps with updated two-level lighting signatures for 2025. Base models seem to be gifted peepers featuring the actual headlights on the upper level, with an amber strip just below. This is not unlike today’s trucks, though the overall shape of the lamp is different. This treatment is likely to appear on trims like the Tradesman and Big Horn here in Canada.

Further up the trim walk, those double-decker lamps remain, but find themselves inhabited by a quartet of forward-facing LED headlights, accompanied by a spear of white running lights which line up neatly with the trademark Ram grille nostrils. The eight distinct headlights, four on each side within the two housings bookending the grille, remind this writer of those terrifying spiders with a bunch of eyes on its head. We’ll see how it all looks in person soon enough.

Speaking of grilles, the Rebel gets an evolution of the handlebar moustache treatment it has been wearing for years, now incorporating vertical and horizontal lines in stark contrast to each other. The base truck has a plainer visage, while the expressive red pickup uses brightwork that would create excellent sear marks if it were a grill and not a grille.

Ram is mum on powertrain details for now, though it is reasonable to expect a hike in torque from the Cummins diesel, since Detroit truck-makers like to regularly beat each other over the head with steel chairs and engine specs. It surely won’t be long before we see a staggering 1,500 lb-ft of torque from a consumer-grade truck, and the 2025 Ram Heavy Duty is likely to take a step towards that number.
