• Ford’s Super Duty adds some styling cues and simplified trailer packages for 2025
  • An integration system lets drivers operate add-on equipment from the touchscreen
  • Pricing for the 2025 F-250 starts at $58,979 in Canada

Ford has announced details and pricing for the 2025 Super Duty, which is now available for order.

The Super Duty – which comes as the F-250, F-350, and F-450 – receives some updates for 2025, including new options and simplified trailering packages. For those who upfit their vehicles for work, such as adding snow plows or other accessories, the Ford Pro integration system can connect their instrumentation into the truck’s digital system, allowing users such options as integrating an accessory’s controls into the centre touchscreen or auxiliary switches, or creating safety lockouts.

The Super Duty offers a 6.8L V8 gas engine as standard equipment on the XL, XLT, and Lariat trims. The King Ranch and Platinum have a standard 7.3L V8 engine. All trims can be optioned to a 6.7L Power Stroke turbodiesel engine, and all three are mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. Depending on the truck, towing can go to a maximum of 40,000 lbs., and payload to 8,000 lbs.

The updated Platinum trim receives a black cabin with blue accents, painted black grille and tailgate applique, and body-colour door handles. A new Platinum Plus Package adds a satin finish grille, perforated leather upholstery in a “Smoked Truffle” interior colour, “Max Recline” seats, and 7.2-kW Pro Power Onboard inverter to run tools or leisure equipment. The Lariat trim now has ActiveX synthetic seat material, and new exterior colours across the board are Avalanche and Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat.

New option packages for trailering can bundle such features as auxiliary cameras, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) for the trailer, and blind-spot monitoring with trailer coverage. Other available features include driver-assist technologies, 360-degree cameras, customizable digital information cluster and head-up display, and telematics for fleet customers that can include fuel use and driver behaviour monitoring. The system can also trigger a remote alarm if a vehicle’s door is opened or it moves from its last location, or prevent the vehicle from starting at certain times.

The Super Duty is currently built at Ford’s plants in Kentucky and Ohio; and within a couple of years, is also scheduled to roll out of the automaker’s plant in Oakville, Ontario.

The 2025 Super Duty F-250 and F-350 come in Regular Cab, Super Cab, and Super Crew; while the F-450 is Regular or Super Crew. Depending on trim and configuration, Canadian starting prices for the F-250 will run between $58,979 and $101,245; the F-350 is $61,479 to $104,245; and the F-450 is $79,234 to $121,660.
