Reform UK have been labeled “right-wing authoritarian b*****ds” in a scathing attack on the political party.
Speaking at a fringe event in collaboration with Young Labour, far-left activist group Hope Not Hate took aim at Nigel Farage’s party which has seen a surge in support in recent days after hosting its annual conference in Birmingham.
Hope not Hate has campaigned against GB News calling for it to be shut down and has launching a campaign of war against its advertisers.
Director of Campaigns and Communications for the group, Georgina Laming, spoke to a small group of people in a room above a pub on the outskirts of the Labour Party conference, this time taking aim at the Reform UK party.
The event, which was titled “How can we tackle the rise of the far-right among young people?”, also featured recently elected Labour MP Josh Dean and Chair of London Young Labour, Sudenaz Top.
Reform UK came second in 98 seats in July’s general election, with 89 being won by Labour. The party came third in Dean’s seat which had been held by the Conservatives since the constituency’s creation in 1983.

Towards the end of the session, the panel took questions from the audience. Laming took the opportunity to voice her opposition to Reform UK when asked about challenging the opinions of people with differing political opinions.
She said: “One thing I want to say is that I don’t think necessarily that people that vote for Reform UK are far-right. I think that Reform UK are far-right. I think they’re authoritarian. I think they’re b*****ds.”
She went on to cite recent polling carried out by Hope not Hate which they say found Reform UK voters to be “progressive” and predominantly “white working class people that traditionally voted for Labour”.
The swipe is the latest in a slew of attacks on the party from the left-wing organisation, with its chief executive Nick Lowles taking to social media over the weekend to tell followers of the activist group’s plans to “stop” Reform UK.
At another panel hosted by Hope not Hate earlier in the day which looked at the challenge posed by Reform UK, Sunderland Central MP Lewis Atkinson called for a “coordinated sabotage” of the party – which he viewed as the Labour Party’s “number one target” in the North East of England.
Reform UK gained more than 2,700 new members in 24 hours during its own party conference last week.
