TNT Sports pundit Steve Bunce believes Anthony Joshua ‘won’t remember’ any of his defeat to Daniel Dubois after crashing to defeat at Wembley on Saturday night.

The Watford-born star was comprehensively outclassed by his opponent, with Dubois knocking him to the canvas in four of the five rounds before delivering the knockout.

Joshua had, prior to the clash, been expected to reign supreme.

He was seen as a man on the up again after defeats over the likes of Jermaine Franklin Jr, Otto Wallin, Robert Helenius and Francis Ngannou.

Fast-forward to now, however, and Joshua is being written off by many once again.

Bunce, speaking on TNT Sports, has now delivered his scathing verdict on the showdown.

The former boxing star says Joshua ‘won’t remember’ any of the clash, having been outperformed from start to finish.

And the 61-year-old also believes Joshua made ‘several really basic mistakes’ after crashing to his third loss from his last seven fights.

“What we’re asking AJ to do is come back from a fight where he fought five round swhich he won’t remember unless he’s watching it,” he said.

“Where he got knocked down multiple times.

“He makes several really basic mistakes which surprised all of us. That’s going to be really hard to come from.”

Lewis was unsure if Joshua can come back after the emphatic defeat, with the Briton saying: “It’s really up to him mentally.

“It was a bad defeat he was on the floor a lot of times.

“Its hard to come back from that. He can work hard and look at what he did wrong.

“But he’s got mental strength [which means] he can come back.”

And Frampton added: “It’s going to be a difficult watch for AJ.

“If you get knocked out by one shot, it’s not as bad as getting beat up like that. As a boxer you get the resilience knocked out of you.

“When you’re a boxer when you are in wars where you get up and down off the canvas you lose the resilience, you can’t get it back.

“You can’t come back and get a better chin – once it’s gone its gone.”

Joshua himself, meanwhile, is adamant that this isn’t the last time fans around the world will see him in action.

“Of course I want to continue fighting. We’re going to live to fight another day,” he said.

“That’s what I am – a warrior. We have to give credit to Daniel. I take my hat off to him.

“I want to thank my team for the way they prepared me. There were a few mistakes in there, but that’s the name of the game. Fine margins can cost you at the top level.”
