Avon and Somerset Police have released new appeals this week relating to crimes in and around Bristol. Officers have appealed to the public for information regarding a number of incidents, including a sexual assault in a Bristol nightclub and a robbery just outside the city.
Appeal to identify man in connection with Pryzm sexual assault
Police are appealing to the public for help identifying a man they believe can aid their enquiries into a sexual assault. A woman was sexually assaulted by an unknown man in Pryzm nightclub at 1:50am on Wednesday, June 26.
He is described as Black, approximately 5ft 10ins tall, wearing black trousers, a black jumper with white writing and a black beanie hat with a white circular logo. If you have information, call 101 and give the reference number 5224162031.
Appeal to identify man after woman had cleaning formula sprayed in her face
Police are appealing for the public’s help to identify a man they wish to speak to in connection with an assault in Bedminster. At 10.20am on Tuesday, July 30 an unknown suspect sprayed cleaning formula in the face of a woman while in a shop in East Street.
The victim sought treatment at an eye hospital following the attack and is now recovering at home. If you witnessed the incident or recognise the individual pictured, call 101 with the reference number 5224198709.
Appeal for witnesses after woman sexually harassed in nearby seaside town
Avon and Somerset Police are asking witnesses to come forward after a man sexually harassed a woman in Burnham-on-Sea. The incident happened at around 3.50pm on Friday, August 16 behind the properties on Marine Drive, near Willis Court.
The man is described as Asian, aged in his late 20s or early 30s, with a distinctive mole on his face and dark hair. He had some facial hair but not a full beard.
He wore a dark blue top, possibly a polo shirt and drove a small dark-coloured Hyundai which is believed to be an older model and which had a car seat for a young child on the back seat, on the driver’s side. The police believe this to be an isolated incident in the area, and ask anyone with information to call 101 and give the reference 5224216090.
Appeal for witnesses after robbery near Frome
At around 8.45am on Sunday September 15, a man was attacked in the courtyard of a hotel in Tytherington, before a number of antique items were taken from his van. The suspects fled the scene in a black estate-style car, believed to be a VW.
The victim sustained a head injury in the attack but did not require hospital treatment.
Neighbourhood Policing Inspector Roseanna Green said: “We believe this to be an isolated incident and we do not think there is any further risk to the local community.
“We will be conducting high-visibility patrols over the coming days to offer reassurance to the public. If you have any concerns, I urge you to speak with any of the officers out on patrol.”
