Strictly Come Dancing enthusiasts have said saw a “kiss” between TOWIE star Pete Wicks and his dance partner Jowita Przystal during their performance. The BBC show opened with an unconventional paso doble set to The Prodigy’s hit Breathe, which prompted some surprise with its intensity.

As Pete knelt on the floor, Jowita hurried towards him, their faces came close togetherleaving many viewers convinced their lips met.

Rushing to X, the new home for former Twitter users, one viewer exclaimed: “Was that a KISS between Pete and Jowita? ” While another questioned: “Plz tell me I’m not the only one who saw Pete kiss his dance partner during their routine just now? “.

Another fan stated: “Obsessed with Pete just walking around for two minutes and kissing Jowita a few times! ” Similarly, someone else hinted: “I can already hear the rumours starting about Pete and Jowita! “.

As Strictly launches into 2024 following an electrifying opening night, week one sees celebrities paired up with professional dancers, eager to impress and earn their spot on the leaderboard after showcasing their first dance, reports the Mirror.

Although the judges will pass their verdicts and the stars will receive scores, no elimination will take place in the inaugural week. However, the pressure will mount in week two, when the competition heats up and one celebrity will sadly leave the contest.

Viewers will have the opportunity to participate when the lines open in week two next Saturday (September 28), and the first elimination of the series will air the following night (Sunday, September 29). All the action tonight will commence at 7pm on BBC One, but there will be no results show this weekend.

Currently leading the betting odds are X Factor winner Shayne Ward and JLS star JB Gill though former professional dancer Erin Boag has cautioned that Miranda star Sarah Hadland is also a contender to keep an eye on.
