Leeds Warrior Josh Warrington insists he’s ready to add another Northern Ireland hero to his list of scalps in the ring.

Having already defeated Martin Lindsay and Carl Frampton during his illustrious career, the 33-year-old plans to strip Anthony Cacace of his IBF super-featherweight world title tonight at a sold-out Wembley Stadium.

West Belfast man Cacace defeated Welshman Joe Cordina in Saudi Arabia in May to become world champion.

“I’m not a weight-drained Joe Cordina,” stressed Warrington.

“I’m not just going to stand in front of him. He’s already made it quite clear that I just bomb forward and throw punches, and that’s all you’re going to get.

“He can box and he can do this and that – people don’t really give me credit for my boxing ability.”

Cacace says: “Josh is a very good fighter and I know I’m in for a hell of a fight, but I’m going to do my best to get through it.”
