Celebrated chef and television star Rick Stein is acclaimed for his food empire, which spans a variety of restaurants, retail shops, and hotels across Britain, as well as captivating cookery shows. Away from the limelight, Stein enjoys life dividing his time amongst London, Cornwall’s idyllic shores, and sunny Australia.

At the age of 77, Rick Stein has earned a cherished spot in the heart of British culinary tradition, renowned for premium dining experiences and his top-selling culinary guides. He’s particularly praised for his ensemble of eateries situated along the southern coast, many of which call the quaint Cornish town of Padstow home.

Stein’s influence in the food scene stretches to Winchester in Hampshire, Sandbanks in Dorset, Barnes in London, and Newquay in Cornwall. His presence as a chef and entrepreneur also extends to Australia, where he runs “Rick Stein at Bannisters” in Mollymook and Port Stephens alongside his business partners.

Given his extensive involvement in the restaurant industry, it’s hardly surprising that Stein holds an impressive collection of properties, enjoying his residences in Padstow, the capital, and Down Under, Hello! reports.

Magazine reports that Rick and his wife Sarah generally split their time between the balmy conditions of Australia and their UK base. A fair share of Stein’s TV series have featured his own homes, such as his coastal retreat in Padstow.

This North Cornwall town is not just a picturesque haven but also a food lover’s paradise, boasting four of Stein’s culinary ventures: The Seafood Restaurant, St. Petroc’s Bistro, Stein’s Fish and Chips, and The Cornish Arms.

Stein often resides at his Padstow abode, which is no less impressive than his restaurants. His home features an opulent nautical-themed kitchen with a spacious island and porcelain countertops, alongside a snug living room adorned with a beige sofa and an extensive bookshelf.

In a candid conversation with Cornwall Live., Stein divulged that he “always” returns to Cornwall, regardless of his international escapades.

He expressed: “For years I’ve been fortunate enough to travel the world but I always come back to Cornwall. The county’s renowned for its rugged coastlines and sweeping beaches but there’s so much more to Cornwall.”

“As a child, I remember the thrill of crossing into Cornwall. It felt like stepping into a magical land. I want to show people what this place means to me.”

When not at his Padstow residence, the TV chef can be found at his West London home, conveniently located near his Barnes restaurant.

The West London property mirrors Stein’s Cornish home, featuring tall bookcases, a neutral colour scheme and plenty of natural light.

The professional chef’s Australian home stands out with its unique features such as a striped sofa in the living room, white shutters and a book-filled shelf.
