Lord Goodman has claimed Suella Braverman was right to criticise police handling of pro-Palestine protests.

He said: “I don’t quite think we have two tier policing, but we do seem to have multi-tier policing in a way. So, for example, with the anti-Israel Protest. The police very clearly made a decision not to go in.

“Look at the camera evidence and then come in afterwards. Whereas when you had right wing protesters, they were in there with their batons.

“And if you think back to the way the Sarah Everard protest was policed, which was inadequate, and the police tried to defend, which eventually they were hauled over the coals about, you can plainly see that there is something wrong, and my sympathy on this occasion is with Suella.”
