And one we’ve spotted in Debenhams’ sale has been raved about as being ‘excellent’ for the dog walkers amongst us thanks to its longline length and quilted finish that feels just like wearing ‘a duvet’.
Not to mention its 60% discount. Costing £59.95 instead of £150 on both Debenhams and Regatta, the Orla Kiely Longline Quilted Jacket is hailed as a ‘must have’ this autumn winter season as it is made from water repellent fabric for those blustery, wet days but is also quilted for a toasty hug-like wear – plus, it’s finished off with a cool, quirky bubble-style pattern. Available in both blue and green, this particular coat also comes with a grown on hood and adjustable cuffs – to help you retain all heat possible.
Coming in sizes 10-16 on Debenhams (sizes eight, 18 and 20 are out of stock) and 10 to 18 on Regatta, the coat has a 4.3 star rating from over 45 reviews, one of which testified its cosiness, stating: “Fabulous! So comfy and gives me so much joy to wear it! Keeps me warm but not too warm at this time of year and is ok in light rain too. I got one size bigger for full coverage and it’s like wrapping yourself in a big, happy duvet! Love, love, love.”

Another remarked: “Stunning coat long so keeps me warm and incredibly cheerful.”
A third loved it’s two-way zip fastening and said: “Fabulous coat, very warm but lightweight. Washes well and dries really quickly. I use it mostly for dog walking so it frequently gets muddy splashes and paw prints but it’s no bother to clean. Really useful having the two way zip too for getting in and out of the car.”
“I am very pleased with this coat. It is lightweight but very cosy, the hood stays up when it’s windy. The Orla Kiely design is striking and has been greatly admired,” added another, while one happy shopper commented: “This is my favourite ever coat. It feels like you are being hugged. It is cheerful and stylish but also like wearing a duvet. I hope it lasts forever.”
As advised by the brand – and confirmed by a number of comments in some reviews – the coat is on the larger side, so if you’re after a close fit it’s best to size down from your usual. Others noted how it wasn’t waterproof- although, as one fan of the coat stated, it doesn’t market itself to be, only water repellent. So keep that in mind.
