Belfast Telegraph gets an exclusive look inside Popeyes and video journalist, Kirsten Elder, attempts to make a chicken sandwich.

Popeyes is opening their first restaurant on the island of Ireland in Belfast, at Forestside shopping centre, on Friday, September 20.

The New Orleans-born fried chicken brand is offering the first three people in the queue on Friday morning free chicken sandwiches for a year.

The first 100 people will get a free chicken sandwich and a T-shirt.

The store is opening at 11am and people can queue from 9am.

The international chicken chain is creating 90 new jobs in Belfast.
