A bizarre love triangle murder involving an IRS investigator, his wife, their Brazilian nanny and a kinky stranger has taken another twist.

Hubby Brendan Banfield is now charged with murder in connection to the slayings of his wife Christine Banfield, 37, and patsy Joseph Ryan, 38, in February 2023.

Cops say Banfield, 39, stabbed his wife and then shot Ryan, who believed he hooking up with Christine for a kinky encounter. Also charged in the twisted plot is the couple’s nanny, Juliana Peres Magalhaes.

Detectives believe Banfield and his mistress, Magalhaes, shot and killed Ryan after luring him to the family’s million-dollar mansion via a fetish dating site.

The nanny told cops that she and her lover walked in on Ryan stabbing a naked Christine Banfield. Brendan Banfield then shot Ryan. She is accused of firing the life-ending bullet at Ryan.

Now, Magalhaes is claiming she acted in self-defence. But prosecutors believe the whole scheme was orchestrated to get the wife out of the way and Ryan was just a sucker.

At the time of the Feb. 24, 2023 murders, the Banfields, their nanny and a 4-year-old daughter were all living in the suburban Virginia palace.

Investigators believe it was Magalhaes who posted a bogus profile for Annastasia9 on kinko website, Fetlife. The profile featured a petite woman in a one-piece bathing suit.

Cops added there was no evidence Christine Banfield created the lurid profile — or even knew about it.

Brendan Banfield was arrested Monday after a grand jury indicted him on four charges of aggravated murder and one charge of using a firearm in the commission of a felony.

He is accused of the premeditated murder of the two victims.

“Early last year, a double murder devastated two families and shocked our entire community,” Commonwealth Attorney Steve Descano told reporters.

“I will ensure that my office puts forward the strongest case possible at trial, and that we continue to seek justice for the victims and their families.”

The nanny was arrested last October and charged with the murder of Ryan. Last summer she complained about conditions at the Fairfax County Jail where the lovebirds are both now being held.

“I am tired of this place, this situation,” Juliana Peres Magalhaes wrote in an email to her mother. “I am unhappy, and nothing makes me happy. I just want to get out of here and go back home to be with you guys. We will be together soon, with God’s grace, mommy.”

At a preliminary hearing in April, it emerged that the nanny and Banfield continued their torrid sexual relationship rolling after the murders. In addition, it was revealed the pair went to a shooting range before that tragic day.

Magalhaes had already moved her clothes and belongings into the master bedroom, her garments replacing Christina Banfield’s. There was also a framed photo of the young Brazilian and Brandon Banfield on the night table.
