Reform UK deputy leader Ben Habib has called for foreign prisoners in the UK to be deported “immediately”.

Speaking on GB News, he said: “We don’t know who is being released. The state of government suggests to me that they won’t ever know who they’re releasing. They’re just going to pull this lever and people who serve 40% of their sentences will be released.

“We’re going to put dangerous people back into the public, and we’ll be locking up people who’ve tweeted things that Keir Starmer finds offensive.

“This comes back to the two-tier policing and criminal justice system.

“There are 10,000 foreigners in our prisons. We have about 100,000 people in prison at the moment. They should be deported immediately.

“Why are they still in this country? It’s 10 per cent.”
