- The 2025 Nissan Frontier PRO-4X can now be had in a crew cab 6-ft box configuration
- Pricing for the 2025 Frontier kicks off with a $47,998 SV
- Afterburn Orange will sear retinas on top trims
Nissan has released pricing for the 2025 Frontier pickup truck, with costs rising about $1,000 across the board. However, bigger news shows up in the form of a six-foot box on the burly PRO-4X trim, plus a standard 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen and sliding rear window on all trims.
Three variants will be on offer when this truck goes on sale in Nissan showrooms: SV, SL, and PRO-4X. The SV starts at the price noted above, while the SL is a $2,500 walk from that amount. Off-road focused PRO-4X trims start at $53,498 for a crew cab with a 5-foot box — go ahead and add $600 to that tally if you wish to upgrade yer PRO-4X to a 6-foot box.
And you should, given the extra capability and versatility of a truck with that sized cargo bed. A so-called Luxury Package adds a few creature comforts for $3,000 in either configuration of the PRO-4X. It goes without saying that this author heartily recommends the Afterburn Orange paint choice to create maximum visual drama. You won’t lose this thing in a parking lot.
Keen eyes will notice a revised front fascia on this year’s Frontier, along with a massaged grille and bumper. The presence of those three rectangular vents continue the homage to Pathfinder SUVs and Hardbody pickups from the ‘80s and early ‘90s, which is fine by us. Towing prowess is up across all trims by 540 lbs to 6,750 pounds; that’s more than enough to haul a few weekend toys or a decently sized camper.
In case you need a refresher, the Frontier is powered by a 3.8L V6 engine making 310 horsepower and 281 lb-ft of torque. A nine-speed automatic and four-wheel drive puts power to the ground, with PRO-4X trims getting an electronic locking rear diff out back. That trim also makes use of Bilstein-branded shocks and all-terrain tires.
Nissan expects the 2025 Frontier to appear in dealer showrooms later this year.
