Harry Kane has openly stated that joining Bayern Munich was the best decision he ever made in football.

And Tottenham fans are not exactly pleased with the England international after years of worshipping him.

Kane received the European Golden Shoe after an incredible debut campaign with Bayern Munich that saw him score 44 goals in 45 appearances, as well as registering 12 assists.

With 36 coming in the Bundesliga, it saw the 31-year-old score more than Manchester City star Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe, at Paris Saint-Germain at the time, who both scored 28 in the Premier League and Ligue 1 respectively.

In his acceptance speech after bagging the award, Kane admitted that he has not looked back since leaving Spurs last summer.

He said: “It’s really special. Obviously it was a big step in my career to come to FC Bayern.

“It was one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life. I’m enjoying every moment of it so far.”

Kane made his debut for Tottenham in 2011 and went on to become their highest-ever goalscorer with 280 goals in all competitions.

It has seen him become a Spurs legend, worshipped by the club’s fans – though they now feel that he has somewhat besmirched his reputation.

While this fan wrote: “You went to the best team in the easiest league to try and win trophies and lost the league which they haven’t done for 9 years or something nice one mate hope you’re enjoying every moment.”

It is true that Kane did not win a trophy last season, meaning his long wait for silverware continues.

The Englishman has never won a trophy, other than personal accolades, despite joining one of the most dominant forces in European football last year.

But Bayern failed to win the Bundesliga for the first time since 2013, having also missed out on the DFB-Pokal Cup and Champions League.

It saw Thomas Tuchel lose his job after just one season in charge with Vincent Kompany arriving to replace him in the summer.

Despite the Belgian failing to keep Burnley in the Premier League last season, the Bayern board were impressed with his style of play and are keen on the 38-year-old being a long-term solution to their current woes.

They have strengthened in the transfer window this year, signing Michael Olise and Joao Palhinha from Crystal Palace and Fulham respectively, as well as Hiroki Ito, Eric Dier, Bryan Zaragoza and Armindo Sieb.
