A Crystal Palace ball boy had to be pulled away after West Ham fans pushed over an advertising board that came close to a fatal incident.

Palace and West Ham were locked in a close encounter at Selhurst Park when Tomas Soucek broke the deadlock in the 67th minute.


The midfielder rushed over to the away supporters to celebrate with the fans pushing forward to join in the celebrations.

The fans then crashed onto the pitch as they ended up pushing over one of the advertising boards with a ball boy nearly caught underneath the pile.

West Ham players were quick to notice the boy in distress with Soucek seen trying to hold up the hoardings.

The boy was then pulled to safety with West Ham players seen checking on the youngster.

The young ball boy was visibly shaken up when he got back to his feet before being led away by stadium security.
