Batgirl to the rescue.

An eight-year-old Minnesota girl helped foil a robbery at her family’s liquor store in the Twin Cities area by hitting the accused with an aluminum bat while her father wrestled the man to the floor.

Video shows the accused — allegedly identified as Amazon worker Conchobhar Morrell, 37, according to the New York Post — entering Big Discount Liquors in Maplewood, Minn., near St. Paul on Aug. 10 at about 9:30 p.m. and pulling out what appears to be a handgun.

“He put the gun on the table, he asked me to give him all the money and everything in the register. I told him, ‘Yes, I’ll give you everything,’” the dad, identified as Leo, told CBS News Minnesota.

The man then approaches the counter before Leo punches and wrestles him to the ground. The girl, who is off camera when the incident begins, follows them with a metal baseball bat and takes repeated swings at the man.

Leo said he didn’t know his daughter had tried to help until he watched the surveillance footage.

“I’m so proud of her, she’s so strong,” he told CBS News.

“That day, I would say I just wanted to cry when I see the video. I didn’t expect she’d do that. I expect, like, a little girl crying or screaming.”

Morrell was arrested nearby, the Post reported, and charged with first-degree attempted aggravated robbery.

Police said the firearm used was allegedly a BB gun.

The Post also reported, via an Amazon spokesperson, that Morrell is a delivery associate for a third-party service and would be “immediately offboarded.”
