NI traffic alerts: Delays expected after M1 crash

Delays are expected on the M1 eastbound at the junction of Blacks Road due to a road traffic collision. Emergency services are at the scene and police are advising road users to avoid the area at this time. 

Traffic has returned to normal during rush hour.

The vehicles involved in the traffic collision on the A12 Westlink at the Clifton Street on-slip, heading in the M1 direction, have now been pushed to the side of the on-slip by police.

Both lanes are open again but traffic remains heavy and delays are expected.

There has been a road traffic collision this morning involving a number of cars on the A12 Westlink at the end of the Clifton Street on-slip, heading in the M1 direction. 

The slip road and lane one are currently blocked. Delays can be expected approaching from the M2 and M3 direction.

The Moy Road, Dungannon is closed following a single vehicle collision this evening.
Diversions are in place at the Stangmore Roundabout – drivers are asked to seek an alternate route.

Police and other emergency services are at the scene of a road traffic collision in the Lake Street area of Lurgan.

The road has been closed at its junction with the Antrim Road, and local diversions are in place for road users.

A statement from the PSNI said: “Road users are asked to avoid the Ballymiscaw Road area of Holywood, as emergency services are currently at the scene of a fire in the area.
“Please seek an alternate route for your journey where possible.”

A statement from the PSNI said: “Motorists are advised to expect delays at the Drumavoley Road, Ballycastle due to a road traffic collision this afternoon, Wednesday 14th August. Motorists are advised to seek alternative main routes for their journey.”

The Rathkeel Road at Moorfields in Ballymena remains closed following a road traffic collision earlier. 
Diversions are in place and police and firefighters are at the scene.

Knock-on delays were remaining north/east-bound into rush hour

More issues on the Westlink this afternoon as now a broken down vehicle is causing delays. It is just before the Divis Street off-slip, obstructing lane two and causing tailbacks, which are again stretching back towards J2 at Stockman’s Lane

The earlier collision on the A12 Westlink heading towards York Street just after Divis Street has now been cleared. Traffic is on the move again but there are knock-on delays back onto the M1 to J2 Stockmans Lane.

A crash on the Westlink is causing significant delays heading towards York Street. The crash is just after the Divis Street on-slip and is obstructing the outer lane.
Knock-on delays are stretching back onto the M1 as far as the junction with Kennedy Way and Stockman’s Lane. 
The Divis Street on-slip has been closed, causing delays for traffic coming from west Belfast.

The traffic lights at the junction of the Hightown Road and Antrim Road, Glengormley are currently not working following a single-vehicle road traffic collision this evening.
Drivers are advised to proceed with caution and seek an alternate route if possible.

There are long delays southbound on the A26 approaching Dunsilly roundabout after a crash. The two-vehicle collision happened around the junction with the Fernisky Road. The NI Ambulance Service and PSNI are in attendance.
