Another man has been arrested on Wednesday in connection with rioting in Belfast.

The 43-year-old man was detained in the Belfast area on suspicion of intentionally encouraging or assisting riot and theft. He remains in police custody at this time as enquiries continue.

There have now been 39 people arrested and 30 people charged.

The PSNI has been faced with recent racially-motivated trouble linked to anti-immigration protests.

Police have also faced disorder in Londonderry caused by nationalist youths.

Officers from Police Scotland arrived in Northern Ireland on Tuesday to provide reinforcement for duties later this week.
