• The all-new 2025 Nissan Kicks subcompact ranges from $27,199 to $34,899 in Canada
  • For the first time, the Kicks is available with all-wheel-drive (AWD), optional on the two lower trims and standard at the top
  • It’s a bit larger than the outgoing generation and with more standard or available features

Nissan Canada has announced pricing for the all-new Kicks subcompact SUV, which starts at $27,199 and goes to $34,899 and is on sale now. For the first time, the Kicks will be available with all-wheel drive (AWD).

That $27,199 — before freight and PDI, which adds $2,030 — gets you the base S trim in front-wheel drive (FWD). The S AWD is $29,199. The next-step-up SV trim is $29,199 in FWD and $30,749 with AWD. The top SR Premium trim is AWD-only and is $34,899. Premium option packages are also available on the SV and SR trims.

All Kicks trims use a 2.0L four-cylinder engine that makes 141 horsepower and 140 lb-ft of torque, mated to an automatic continuously variable transmission (CVT), which Nissan calls “Xtronic.” That’s a considerable step up from the last-generation 2024 Kicks, which had a 1.6L four-cylinder making 122 horsepower and 114 lb-ft of torque. The new AWD system includes a “Snow” driving mode that adjusts the performance for slippery surfaces. Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) rates the FWD Kicks at 7.4 L/100 km in combined city/highway driving, while the AWD models kick it up slightly to 7.7 L/100 km.

The new Kicks is slightly larger than its predecessor, and with 52 mm (2.0 inches) more rear-seat legroom. The FWD models have 849 litres of cargo space with the rear seats upright, compared to 716 litres in the 2024 Kicks; but the AWD takes a bit of a toll, with those models dropping to 676 litres of cargo volume. The SV and SR trims have a moveable two-position cargo floor tray.

Features on the new Kicks include a standard 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto; full-width LED taillights; 7- or 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster; flat-bottom steering wheel; automatic climate control; and available panoramic sunroof with power-operated shade. All trims include emergency front braking with pedestrian detection, automatic rear braking, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, automatic high-beam headlights, tire fill alert, rear door alert, and rearview camera. The S and SV have adaptive cruise control, while the SR adds ProPILOT Assist, for the first time on the Kicks, which includes lane centring on highway driving. The SR also has a 360-degree camera.

Other features, depending on trim, include a wireless charger, proximity key, heated steering wheel, remote starter, two-tone interior stitching, and Bose ten-speaker audio system.
