Come for the falls, stay for the vegetarian meals?
Niagara Falls has been crowned the best city in Canada for vegetarians, with the most highest-rated vegetarian restaurants according to online gambling site Lucky Days.
Victoria, B.C., Kingston, Ont. Vancouver and Kelowna, B.C., all ranked in descending order within the top five cities for vegetarians in the country.
“Shockingly, the best-rated vegetarian-friendly restaurant in Niagara Falls is Prime Steakhouse, which has a 5-star rating and was part of TripAdvisor Travellers Choice in 2023,” says Lucky Days in a release.
“Despite being a steakhouse, the restaurant offers vegetarian items and has a breathtaking view of Niagara Falls.”
TripAdvisor data was analyzed to determine the number of vegetarian food establishments in each Canadian city and their TripAdvisor and Google review ratings were then used to create an index that scored each city out of 100.
The highest-scoring city was crowned the best city for vegetarians.
“These findings can be used as a helpful guide for vegetarians across Canada who may be considering moving to a different city but are concerned about how their dietary lifestyle will be affected,” said Rich Lee, Chief Marketing Officer at Lucky Days, in a statement.
“They can use these findings to pinpoint and narrow down cities with numerous establishments that suit their vegetarian lifestyle.”
