And the moral of the story is – if you’re tired it might be a good idea to take a rest.

It’s over five years since Game of Thrones ended. And rarely was a show under more pressure to deliver for a worldwide audience that had become so invested in who would end up sitting on the iron throne.

It did, of course, have to end sometime. All good things do.

Kit Harington, who starred as Jon Snow in the HBO fantasy epic, has admitted there were “faults” with how the show was brought to an unsatisfactory close.

Many of the show’s millions of fans have agreed. A lot of it, he said, was down to “tiredness” and he agreed it “felt rushed”.

There was always going to be a problem with the ending of Game of Thrones. Everyone who loved the show had their own idea on how it would all come to a conclusion. Matching all those expectations proved a difficult task to master.

And there’s another moral – sometimes you can get too much of a good thing.

It doesn’t stop you wanting more though.
