Gardai said it is not providing any further information at this time.

It comes days after a man was arrested in connection with a bomb threat made on Mr Harris’s home.

The man, aged in his 50s, was arrested on Friday in connection with the threat on June 26.

The threat was made in a phone call to the Samaritans.

The Fine Gael leader’s wife and two young children were in the property at the time.

Gardai carried out a search of the property but nothing was discovered.

Following the incident, the Taoiseach condemned the threat as “utterly unacceptable”.
