A 17-year-old boy has been charged with assault after a female police officer sustained “severe facial injuries” in Falls Park in west Belfast on Thursday evening.
The teenager has been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and is expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court tomorrow, Saturday 10 August.
As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
