Mourners have gathered at the funeral of murder victim Kevin Davidson.

A service for the 34-year-old took place at St Patrick’s Church in Belfast with family and friends seen gathered and leading the man’s coffin into the church.

Following the mass, there was a committal for the man’s body at Roselawn Crematorium.

A funeral notice said Mr Davidson was the “beloved son of Marie and loving brother of Catherine”.

“Kevin will be sorely missed, loved and remembered always by his heartbroken mum, sister and entire family circle,” it added.

Mr Davidson’s body was discovered on July 20 at a flat in Donegall Avenue, where he had been living.

Two people – Jade Mary Anna Harrison (35), of Donegall Avenue, and Colam Barry McClenaghan (32), of no fixed address – were since charged with his murder and appeared in court last Wednesday.

Both deny the charge, and told police they believed he had left the property after walking in on them having intercourse.

Last week police appealed for information about a white car on the Lisburn Road seen in the early hours of Tuesday July 9.
