Former Police sergeant Harry Tangye has recalled a “key phrase” that he believes “can be abused” and eventually lead to a sense of two-tier policing.

He joined Dawn Neesom on GB News to reflect on chaos across Britain, sparked by the deaths of three children in Southport who were murdered in a crazed knife attack.

Asked whether two-tier policing is an issue in Britain, Tangye said he does not feel “comfortable” with the term, but there is a prospect of some officers “abusing” some of the guidelines.
