Two people were taken to a hospital with serious injuries after a stabbing on Sunday evening in North York.

Toronto Police said on the social-media site X that officers responded to reports of a stabbing at about 6:20 p.m. in the Cresthaven Dr.-Brahms Ave. area.

Toronto Police said a woman was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, while a man also suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Toronto Paramedics told the Toronto Sun that the two were in their 60s and were taken to a local trauma centre with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said they arrested a suspect at the scene.
