Princess Kate made a “bold statement” during her Royal Family comeback, a style expert has claimed.

The Princess of Wales returned to public life at Trooping the Colour in June, before attending the Wimbledon Men’s Singles final the following month.

Kate, 42, had stepped back from royal duties after disclosing her cancer diagnosis in March 2024.

The princess admitted she was undertaking a course of preventative chemotherapy and sought privacy for herself and her family.

Although she has not yet officially returned to public duties, Kate did make an appearance at the Wimbledon Men’s Singles final as part of her role as royal patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.

Kate attended Wimbledon alongside her sister Pippa Middleton, 40, and daughter Princess Charlotte, nine.

Eddie LeVian, CEO of celebrity jewellery house Le Vian, whose ancestors guarded the royal jewels of Persia, spoke exclusively to GB News to explain how the Princess of Wales made an impactful statement at the SW19 tennis tournament.

He said: “How wonderful to see Kate choose bold gold statement earrings, very much in line with the spirit of an unending desire for yellow gold.

“Kate’s statement earrings are larger and more confident than some of the more sleek and understated pieces she’d worn at Wimbledon in the past.

“Her yellow gold bangles were also significant in the way she stacked them one with the other for a super elegant yet also nonchalant and bold style. Kate is back!”

As patron of the All England Club, a purple dress made sense for the princess, as it is one of the club’s colours.

She wore the Safiyaa Cecilia Lilac Midi Dress which retails for £1,295.

The princess brought back her Milly handbag by LK Bennett, a 1960s-inspired design crafted of Nappa leather.

The piece was first carried by Kate in June 2021 during an engagement with US First Lady Dr Jill Biden.

When leaving Wimbledon, the mother-of-three was also seen carrying her Victoria Beckham Quincy tote.

Kate opted to wear her Camilla Elphick Lucia Tan Slingbacks, initially worn to a charity polo match last July.
