Judy Murray’s joke has gone viral on social media after Andy Murray retired from tennis on Thursday.

The former world No 1 and Dan Evans lost to American duo Taylor Fritz and Tommy Paul last night, with their hopes of winning Olympics gold now over.

Murray has played his last match as a professional tennis player after a career that has seen him win 739 matches, 46 ATP titles and three Grand Slam titles.

After his defeat, the 37-year-old quipped that he’d ‘never even liked tennis anyway’.
