An area of Bristol has been named among the dangerous driving capitals of the UK. Experts at Claims.co.uk have examined GOV.UK data on the number of drivers with penalty points on their licence in each UK postcode as of May 2024.
According to the data, 11.93 per cent of drivers in the BS13 area of Bristol, which covers Bedminster Down, Bishopsworth, Hartcliffe, Withywood and Headley Park, have points on their licence. This makes it the 11th most dangerous driving hotspot in the nation.
Meanwhile, the PL3 area of Plymouth is the most dangerous with over 13 per cent of drivers having points on their licence. The LS9 area of Leeds is second while the BD3 area of Bradford is third.

At the other end, the GU13 area of Guildford is the safest postcode across the nation. According to the data, only 0.17 per cent of drivers in the area have points on their licence.
