London police have identified a Toronto man wanted in a shooting last year at a home near University Hospital.

Police found evidence of gunfire at a home on Corley Drive, southwest of Windermere and Western roads, on Oct. 28, 2023, around 4 a.m. Nobody was injured.

Investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Tadas James Bickus, 39, of Toronto on charges of discharging a firearm in a reckless manner, mischief of less than $5,000, possession of a weapon, unauthorized possession of a firearm, occupying a vehicle with a firearm and careless storage of a firearm or ammunition, London police said Wednesday.

Bickus is described as a white man, six-foot-three, 330 pounds, with green eyes, short blond hair and a light brown beard.

Investigators ask anyone with information on Bickus’s whereabouts to call London police at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

The gunfire on Corley Drive happened one hour after officers found evidence of gunfire at a home on Rhine Avenue, northwest of Oxford Street and Highbury Avenue, in an unrelated case. Nobody was injured.

The investigation in the shooting on Rhine Avenue continues, police said.

There were 27 cases of gunfire last year, one less than the record of 28 in 2021. So far, there have been four cases of gunfire this year, resulting in three people injured, compared to 20 incidents in the same period last year.
