It will be cloudy with outbreaks of light rain at first today in Northern Ireland but this will soon clear and make way for sunny spells, forecasters have said.

There will be sunny spells and patchy cloud in the afternoon with the chance of the odd shower and a maximum temperature of 22C.

To end the day it will be dry with late sunshine. There will be clear spells through the first half of the night but clouding over later with the odd spot of rain by morning, with a minimum temperature of 13C.

On Friday, there will be bright spells during the morning but it will turn increasingly cloudy. Rain will arrive from the west into the afternoon and it will be heavy for a time. It will be drier through the evening, with a maximum temperature of 20C.

The outlook for Saturday to Monday is dry and sunny on Saturday morning, with scattered showers into the afternoon. It will be dry and bright Sunday morning with rain arriving from the west into the afternoon. Rain will clear on Monday morning to make way for sun.
