The OPP are looking for witnesses or dashcam footage after a man was allegedly stabbed in a road-rage incident.

The alleged stabbing took place Sunday at about 8 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of Hwy. 401, on the right shoulder between Hwy. 412 and Brock Rd. in Whitby.

Police said the incident started on the 401 near Brock Rd. in Pickering and involved a green SUV and an older-model Nissan hatchback, which had boxing gloves and a Jamaican flag hanging from the rear-view mirror.

They said a man was later stabbed on the shoulder of the 401 in Whitby and taken to a hospital.

The male suspect is Black and about 25 years old with dreadlocks. He was wearing Nike shorts and a shirt.

Police said the Nissan will have damage to the rear passenger-side window.
