The resignation of Joe Biden as the Democratic nominee for U.S. president, less than six months out from the election, caused a stir south of the border, and reignited conversations in Canada about the future of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

The Liberal leader has been facing questions about his future for weeks, since his party lost a spring byelection in what had been a traditionally safe seat for the grits.
