Former US president Barack Obama has taken to social media to share his support for Kamala Harris after it was revealed she will be taking over from Joe Biden in the US Presidential race.
Posting a clip of both himself and his wife on the phone to Harris, the former President said that he “couldn’t be prouder” of her.
Alongside the clip he wrote: “Earlier this week, Michelle and I called our friend @KamalaHarris.
“We told her we think she’ll make a fantastic President of the United States, and that she has our full support.
“At this critical moment for our country, we’re going to do everything we can to make sure she wins in November. We hope you’ll join us.”
