An Ajax dentist faces charges for allegedly sexually assaulting a female patient.
Durham Regional Police say a patient alleges she went to KC Dental – located at Rossland Rd. E. and Salem Rd. – on July 13.
During two of her visits, a male employee – later identified as a dentist – touched her inappropriately, police allege.
Investigators subsequently identified and arrested a 36-year-old suspect.
Dr. Sunilkumar Patel, of Ajax, is charged with two counts of sexual assault.
Patel also works at Family Smile Dentistry at 3480 Lawrence Ave. E. – near Markham Rd. – in Scarborough.
Police released an image of the accused because they are concerned about the possibility of other alleged victims.
