Two people are dead after a double stabbing Sunday afternoon at a North York home.

Toronto Police said on the social-media site X that they responded to reports of a person with a knife on Sunday just before 3 p.m. in the Don Mills-Cliffwood Rds. area, where two people were found with stab wounds.

A male and a female, who suffered life-threatening injuries, were then transported to a hospital via an emergency run.

Toronto Police said in an update on Sunday evening that the two people, who were in their 80s, had died from their injuries.

Const. Laurie McCann told the Sun that there were no outstanding suspects and that investigators believe the “person responsible is one of the deceased located inside the home.”

There was no indication on the relationship between the deceased.
