A key road in an area on the outskirts of Bristol is set to close for five days from today (Monday, July 22). Station Road, in Little Stoke, will close from today for ‘signing works’ according to traffic site One.Network.

The roadworks, undertaken by South Gloucestershire Council, will see the road closed at its junction with the B4057 Gipsy Patch Lane to its junction with Clay Lane. The footpath will remain open during.

During the roadworks, some access will be maintained from the north side of the road to businesses affected by the road closure. Likewise, access to the Patchway train station and its car park will remain.

A diversion is in place for drivers whilst the roadworks are ongoing. One.Network confirms that the 1.5-mile diversion will circle around Little Stoke Park.

Starting north of Station Road, the diversion follows Clay Lane and turns right on to Little Stoke Lane before joining the B4057. Drivers will then follow the B-road eastbound to the immediate roundabout before turning back on to the B4057 Gipsy Patch Lane heading westbound. Drivers starting on Gipsy Patch Lane can turn onto Little Stoke Lane and follow the diversion to head on to Station Road.
