Durham police say a 65-year-old motorcyclist is in critical condition following a crash in Scugog.

On Saturday at 6:56 p.m., Durham Regional Police were called to a collision involving a pickup truck and a motorcycle at the intersection of Regional Rd. 57 and Nestleton Rd.

Police says a Chevrolet pickup was driving westbound on Regional Rd. 57 when it turned left into the path of a Suzuki motorcycle travelling eastbound.

The motorcycle struck the rear right corner of the Chevrolet pickup, ejecting the man from the motorcycle.

The motorcycle driver was taken to a Toronto-area trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.

DEADLY CRASH

Toronto Police are investigating after a 28-year-old man died after striking a tree.

Police were called on Saturday at 9:53 p.m. to the area of Nugget Ave. and Markham Rd. for the single-vehicle collision.

The driver was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries and later died.
