NS&I has released a statement following reports of customers being unable to access their accounts online. Over the past couple of days, Plusnet users have had difficulties logging in to manage their Premium Bonds and other savings.

One customer described the service as having “stopped”, while another stated they were “unable to login”. NS&I provided an update to Express.co.uk today (July 17), stating: “We are aware that some Plusnet customers have experienced difficulties accessing our website and app.

“After investigating the issue, we can confirm that both the NS&I website and app are functioning correctly. We recommend that customers who are with Plusnet and experiencing issues try using a different WiFi connection or mobile data to access our online services.”

In response to one of the customers, the group previously said: ” It appears that something within how Plusnet provide your network is blocking our site. We have raised this internally, but early indications are that the issue is with Plusnet themselves. We’d advise you to raise the issue with them too.”

Express.co.uk has also reached out to Plusnet for a comment on the matter. NS&I customers can manage their savings and investments online and over the phone. Registering with the group makes it easier to manage your funds and make new investments, as the provider will have your details on file.

Any person who has opened an account with NS&I online or over the phone will already be registered. Each £1 Bond goes into the monthly prize draw with an equal chance of being paired with a cash prize.

The monthly prize pot includes the two jackpot prizes for £1million and several other large cash prizes, for £100,000 and £50,000. Lucky savers often choose to use their winnings to buy more Bonds, upping their chance of winning again.
