Willie Faloon has made five changes to the Ireland Under-20s starting team for Friday’s third-place Playoff against New Zealand at the Under-20s Rugby World Cup.

After losing 31-20 to England in last Sunday’s Semi-Final, the Ireland head coach has opted for one change in the backline and four in the pack.

Davy Colbert comes onto the right wing, with Finn Treacy shifting to the centre in place of Wilhelm de Klerk. In the forwards, Ireland will start a fresh front row, with Emmet Calvey and Alex Mullan coming in at prop with Stephen Smyth at hooker.

The other change sees Munster second Luke Murphy replace Sean Edogbo, with James McKillop moving to blindside flanker. Number eight Brian Gleeson once again captains in the side.

The game kicks off at 3.30pm on Friday and can be watched for free on Rugby Pass TV.
