A Lisburn production assistant has told of the “surreal moment” she was crowned Miss Great Britain Belfast and her plans to use the platform to showcase Northern Ireland’s film industry. Stacey Burns said she was honoured to receive the title at Belfast’s Merchant Hotel on Sunday night. “I couldn’t believe it, it was such a surreal moment when my name was called out I couldn’t believe it,” she said. The production assistant who has worked on Blue Lights and Dungeon and Dragons said it was something she had always dreamed of.
