Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are “worried sick” as the upcoming election looms, according to an inside source.

Should he win the US election in November, Donald Trump has refused to rule out deporting the Duke of Sussex.

Prince Harry and Meghan are said to be “worried sick” about being “kicked out” of the US if Trump becomes the next president.

Trump previously hinted he would be prepared to revoke Harry’s visa should he win the forthcoming election, meaning the Duke of Sussex would have to return to the UK.

Questions have been raised about Harry’s visa application, following claims he made about drug use in his explosive memoir, Spare.

A source claimed to New Idea: “The Sussexes are worried sick over the prospect of Donald Trump becoming president again – and making good on his vow to kick Prince Harry out of America.

“They’re putting together a contingency plan that would see them flee the country with their children [Archie and Lilibet] if Trump does return to office.”

Trump previously told GB News that Harry, 39, would receive “no special privileges” regarding his status in the US.

He pledged to take “appropriate action” should he discover Harry “lied” on his visa application, refusing to rule out deporting the prince.

Speaking with Nigel Farage, Trump said: “We’ll have to see if they know something about the drugs, and if he lied they’ll have to take appropriate action.”

However, the source also suggested that Meghan finds the idea of a return to the UK “unthinkable”.

Experts previously predicted the duchess would be unlikely to return to the UK because of her unpopularity in opinion polls.

Prince Harry confessed to taking recreational drugs in his memoir Spare

The Duke of Sussex is currently involved in a US court case, where The Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank, wants the royal’s visa documents to be made public after he admitted to taking recreational drugs in his memoir Spare.

Prince Harry admitted to taking marijuana, cocaine and psychedelic mushrooms.

Under US immigration law, applicants for visas cannot lie about previously taking illegal substances, as it is grounds for deportation.

Therefore, the Heritage Foundation wants to discover whether or not Prince Harry received special treatment from the Biden administration as a member of the Royal Family.
